Until May 31, 2022, the legal basis for refugees from Ukraine in need of assistance was the Asylum Seekers’ Benefits Act (AsylbLG). Subsequently, support is provided by the responsible job centers.
It is now possible to apply for benefits under Social Code II from June 1, 2022.
Ukrainian persons entitled to benefits under SGB II receive financial support to ensure their livelihood. Housing costs (costs for accommodation and heating) can be covered for this purpose.
The prerequisite for this is a residence permit pursuant to Section 24 (1) of the Residence Act or a fictitious certificate pursuant to Section 81 (3) or (4) in conjunction with (5) of the Residence Act.
Statutory health insurance is guaranteed when receiving services from our side. For this we need the membership certificate of your health insurance.
Benefits are paid monthly in advance. To do this, open a checking account and provide us with your current bank account information.
